The Middle School Chorus Program
6th grade chorus - first offered as a course in 1999
- Students usually sing in unison or two parts
- Emphasis is on reading music and basic singing skills
7th grade chorus - first offered as a course in 1998
- Students usually sing in two or three parts
- Emphasis is on reading more difficult music
- Reinforces good singing habits and more advanced skills including the changing voice
8th grade chorus
- Students usually sing in three or four parts
- Emphasis is on reading more complicated music
- Reinforces good singing habits and appropriate skills for male and female voices
