Trinity's Staff

The Staff of a Lutheran church is made up of many talented people working to serve the Lord. Some of the people are ordained clergy who are called by the congregation. Others are lay people who, through the work of the Holy Spirit, feel a call to be part of the church's ministry. Below you will find information about each of the staff members of Trinity.

Pastor - The Reverend Doctor Frederick P. Lay Minister—Dr. Janet J. Montelaro, Ph.D., joined the staff at Trinity in 2006.  She has taught English literature and women’s studies on the college level for almost 20 years. Janet  works with various small groups and ministries at Trinity and encourages the development of new groups and ministries.  She is also a Stephen Ministry leader and is currently studying toward the Associate in Ministry certification in the ELCA.  Janet leads an adult Bible Study on Sundays and leads the Women’s Spirituality Group on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Minister of Music—Amy Kapp.  Directs the adult choir, accompanies the contemporary worship musicians, and schedules instrumentalists.  Amy has a Bachelor’s in Piano Accompanying from Clarion University and a Masters in Piano Accompanying and Vocal Coaching from East Carolina University.

Christian Education Director—Melinda Zorn.  Oversees and coordinates Trinity’s education program for approximately 275 adults and children on a weekly basis.  The education program includes Sunday Church School, Adult Bible Studies, Book and Prayer Groups, Little Church and Vacation Bible School.

Youth Director-Joyce Lydick.  Directs and coordinates Trinity’s Youth programs which include camping trips, retreats, overnight youth events and mission trips. Teaches the Senior High Sunday School Class.  She also is a founder and a member of Revelation, Trinity’s youth and adult praise band.

Church Secretary-- Dianne Barbin—Publishes weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters and the annual report.  Schedules worship assistants.  Coordinates usage of church buildings by both congregational and community groups.

Church Sextons—Dave Fagan and Brett Fagan—Maintain the church buildings and grounds.
Financial Secretary--Charlotte Ludeke.  Records giving to the church and prepares quarterly giving statements for church members.

Treasurer-- Karen Byers–Issues payment of church spending and records spending by each ministry.
