Trinity's Staff The Staff of a Lutheran church is made up of many talented people working to serve the Lord. Some of the people are ordained clergy who are called by the congregation. Others are lay people who, through the work of the Holy Spirit, feel a call to be part of the church's ministry. Below you will find information about each of the staff members of Trinity. Pastor - The Reverend Doctor Frederick P. Schenker Master of Divinity for Lutheran Theological Seminary-Gettysburg M.S.Ed. in Pastoral Counseling from Duquesne University M.A. in Spiritual Formation from the Institute of Formative Spirituality-Duquesne University D.Min. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Member American Association of Pastoral Counselors Member of Spiritual Directors' International Member of American Association of Christian Counselors Lay Minister—Dr. Janet J. Montelaro, Ph.D., joined the staff at Trinity in 2006. She has taught English literature and women’s studies on the college level for almost 20 years. Janet works with various small groups and ministries at Trinity and encourages the development of new groups and ministries. She is also a Stephen Ministry leader and is currently studying toward the Associate in Ministry certification in the ELCA. Janet leads an adult Bible Study on Sundays and leads the Women’s Spirituality Group on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
